Tatts and Twister...

Saturday night the YSA attended a 'Spicks and Specks' activity...
Rob started the evening by going around all the teams and handing our treats (Freddo Frogs).... Dale, Brad and I were on a team and Rob thought it was HILARIOUS when he got to our table and chucked us a pack of tattoo's instead of the chocolate...but we didn't mind...
There was an AWESOME 'freddo playing tennis' tatt that I went to put on...but not having much experience with these things ...I didn't take off the plastic coverning before application... which meant instead of AWESOME tennis freddo transfering to my arm... he simply transfered to the plastic cover...bummer...
so I got stuck with 'skaterboy freddo'...
Notice that Whitty is trying to make his muscles look bigger in this pic? Thats because I out gun him...haha... Of course neither of us were competition for Dale's Guns:)
After the activity/maccas run (of course) We headed to the Gibbo's for some TWISTER...It all started off pretty tame...Great bum shot opportunities...Oop Jess Bradbury is out...Poor Rach...
The Girls turn...

Can everyone see that Jess is actually sitting down in this next pic?? CHEATER!
And the Boys turn...RIDICULOUS...

We soon discovered that Dale was winning ALL the games...see if you can figure out why in the next few pics...

Thats right "The old bum in the face with toxic gas to boot trick"
BTW I recommend the Get Smart movie...some of us YSA decided to check it out on Saturday and it was awesome!
Ka frieken boom!

Phenomenonenonenon factory...

Not to be out done my the millions of people that have blogged about this place in recent times Chad, Jess and I decided to go on Emily's guided tour of the Museums science exhibition...
Chad is looking very scientific here...How many YSA does it take to build a bridge? hmmm why is this not working? The best bit was the MASSIVE canon...anyone got any gun powder?.... Loading the amo...
The amo wasn't too keen...
Finally accepting her fate...
Actually it was an echo tube thingo but seeing as we aren't the most scientific bunch we decided to think outside the square:) I think our exhibit was MUCH more exciting...

Yee - nar ...

Here is Jess' Yee-Har before the band dragged all their stuff up onto the stage...thus cutting off the top of the 'h' turning yee-har into yee-nar and thus yee-nar becoming the catch phrase of the night...
Funny how a saddle can turn this cute little thing into this...Here is OB1's Impression of a cowboy just AFTER he's gotten out of the saddle...Bishop Bailey looks a little uncomfortable with this pic...
All the cow guys and cow gals...

Elle-may... Peggy-Sue and Mary- Lou...
admiring the band...

Another unfortunate saddle shot:) ah good times...good times.

Look I have friends!!

Yipee...this is the most exciting blog post ever!! Because last Wednesday night Mumsy and I had Visitors...YEP Visitors...in the middle of the week...in BRIDPORT...This has only EVER happened once or twice before, so you can see why I am excited...i've been living in Bridport for 18 months now!
So here they are...We took this photo on the timer to make sure that EVERYONE could get in the pic...it was a bit of a squeeze being that there were SO many of us!!...Nevertheless I was not happy with this shot as I felt Sis T looked a little worried and I wanted my only FRIENDS pic to be PERFECT... so... we attempted another one, however, nevertheless and notwithstanding, I forgot to put the camera on timer and just captured the Sisters running to their places...infact running SO quickly that Sis T Disappeared...
Finally we figured out the camera and got everyone in the pic for this PERFECT shot...so much better than the first don't you think?...Maybe??...OKAY...NOT...it's nearly the same except i'm not looking at the camera:( OH WELL...
So Jade is doing her Internship at Ringarooma Primary...wherever the heck that is...so she came by for some din dins with the Sisters...who were in the area and kindof just invited themselves...you know...without actually inviting themselves...missionaries are so cunning...I wonder if they get trained to do that in the MTC :) ... Anyho I didn't mind cause I made my slave mum do all the cooking whilst I enjoyed the company!! YIPEE...

Actually the photo's don't do it justice...but it is pretty banged up...hopefully I'll have it back in a couple of weeks restored to it's former glory...

Bridport in the Holidays...

So it's a typically sunny day in Bridport...what does one do on such an occasion? When all a mother and nan want to do is sit around reading books??

Why Crack out the TV babysitter of course...Matilda one of my favourite kids flicks...Ms Trunchbull is my inspiration:)Of course as with any kids flick most five year olds are over it by the 81/2 min mark...behold Hallie the acrobat...Luckily Oliver was so involved he moved himself away from spiderman to get a better view of the tellie...After a quick trip to the powder room, I return to discover that Hallie is well and truely over the movie...She's decided to do some box work instead...

"Hello Hallie..."
"Hi"
"Why do you have a nutrograin box on your head?"
"hee hee I dunno"

After such an eventful day with the kids I decided to head back into town to YSA FHE .... here we celebrated Nettie's Birthday:)

Engagement Party...

All YSA love a good engagement party...Congratulations Shannon and Jarom ... Bad luck Dale and Chad...

HA HA here is Jayme trying to purse his lips like Jess...hmm I think he needs a better teacher!

"You got to put your lips like zis"
