Summer Showdown...

The week after Sarra's baptism I headed out to Bridport for some chillax time...it was AWESOME...blogging...reading...movies...beach...I really enjoyed my time as a hermit...but decided it wasn't healthy to spend my whole holidays hidden away in Bridport...
I headed back in for YSA family home evening...I've got a bit of an addiction for Magnum Ego's at the moment so I organised an icecream fetching road trip half way through the night...

On the way...
mmmm Ice cream...

We came back with 30 ice creams (they were on special at woollies)
Saturday following our icecream party was Emmo's Engagement Party...They had a foosball table and Hallie thrashed Steve Honey:)As Dale has finished his time as the 'Hot Deli Guy' his Deli Chicks got him this AWESOME Dale Barbie...It's decked out in a Woollies Uniform and sports and impressive name tag... very cool... Of course summer wouldn't be summer without some STARGAZING...and summer was nearly over so I dragged Milla, Chad and Dale out to the Gorge late one Sunday evening...

Then came the BIG event of the summer...the MOVE ... Wednesday night (Last week) the YSA and the FAM came over for my packing party...it didn't take long and Simon decided we all deserved Bubble - 0- Bills as a treat...

So I moved down Thursday amidst dust storms, fire and gale force winds (We made it okay) and then I headed back up on the weekend for the Australia Day camp (Just couldn't stay away)
Here we are chillin' and playing the cup game:)

So that's it...No more summer...I head out to school next week to get set up and then it's back to work...boohoo:(

Sarra's Baptism...

It was a BIG Sunday for the Triffitt family...with baby Jonty's blessing and Sarra's Baptism...the food was bound to be good...haha jk;)
What a beautiful niece!

A Dirty BIG Schnitzel

Go on eat it....I dare you!

A day in the Garden with Grannies...

Because a few YSA came from Hobart for my party there were some that crashed at the Wheelers to avoid a late trip home...The Next day was a good opportunity for us to show off some of the delights of Launny...Especially seeing as Anthony will soon be a northerner...
So what better place to show off then Launny's own City Park...

If you are wondering what's with the Tennis ball...then i'll explain...at the mo the YSA are a little obsessed about Handball...I mean why wouldn't you be?... it's competitive...exciting...cost free and all you need is a ball and a line...

We played Anthony and Alex in chess...they thrashed us...who knew that New Town and Hutchins had Chess clubs? We then converted the chess board into...YES...a HANDBALL COURT...this was MUCH more entertaining...

After saying goodbye to the boyz Julia and I headed to Bridport to Chill and Read on the beach...we are both on the same Twilight book and are loving the trashy story line...
Julia will kill me for posting this pic...but despite what you may think we are NOT naked...it's just a 'funny angle' and we were sunbaking in our bathers... Honestly:)

A Berry Beautiful Birthday Bonanza...

After arriving back in Hobart Saturday morning and picking up my very clean car (Thanks Hayden) from the Bells place...we headed back to Launny...no not to crash and recover...but to get ready for Shannon and Jaroms wedding...
...after the wedding I headed home to meet my BF (Bestie) and prepare for my Birthday Bonanza...
...Sundays before Birthdays are the best...it's the time when you get your card in reliefsociety and everyone sings happy birthday (Primary version) ...
Sunday night was FAST BREAKER! We pigged out on Chicken (or were they pork?) Sausages and my Yummy Choccie Pudding...amongst other delights...
...Kelv and Nettie then rounded us up to do some service...Moving a shed down into the Neighbours backyard...
...I was a REALLY GOOD SUPERVISOR!...Hayden liked the idea of supervising and using the excuse of "too many cooks" decided to join me in shouting out directions...Finally all the hard work as supervisor was finished...So the big BITHDAY DAY arrived...It started out in usual fashion a quick game of tennis and I mean quick as in 6-1 Collette pulps Hayden...then...apparently when you turn 26 you have to start doing Genealogy ... or that's what mum used as an arguement for us to go graveyard hunting ON MY BIRTHDAY...Yes we headed to the Longford Library and Cemetary...Apparently i'm related to that guy...this pic is just a funny inscription...Some funny parts are..."Here lies a good wife and a mother, kind, pitied and loved."... oh and... "Er she died"...Mumsy, Hayden and I found it quite amusing...
After eating lunch with Aunty Zoe in her MASSIVE camper...we headed back to get ready for the PARTY... These pics PROVE that more than three people came...yay...

I love making the YSA play corny games, cause they have to, cause it's my birthday...my personal favourite was 'Pin the patch on the pirate' but before you got a go you had to give a big piratey "Aaaargh" haha it was AWESOME...

Thanks to everyone who made the effort to come...and for Lisa and Chris for letting us trash their pad:)

Convention...

So AFTER Boxing day lunch and BEFORE our six o'clock AM flight to Adelaide we decided to catch up with Hayds and Julia who were feeling a little left out of our Convention excitement...We headed to our FAVOURITE place in the world...the Landsdowne Cres Oval where there are a set of awesome swings with a view...
I made a new game...lets try and jump through the swing...Dale and Hayden delighted in the fact that I failed...And then proceeded to show me how it was done...
We also bought $1 sparklers which we lit and threw...because...well just because it looks cool when they fly through the air...luckily there was no fire ban on...
So after crashing into bed about 1:30 am I awoke at 4:15am to get ready for Convention...
Here we are in Adelaide on our way to St Marks...

Not much to do that afternoon so we headed into the city and Mick Jury gave us a Kontiki tour...

Of course as with all Conventions it really comes down to making your own fun...we loved Fiona Cluff's room because she had a BALCONY...not a very large one...but just big enough for a three person BALCONY PARTY every night...we LOVED it cause it looked over the Marquee and was a great spot to do some 'guy watching' haha...

Seriously one of the BEST parts of Convention was discovering the 'O-Barn' It's this Bus system that is like a Roller Coaster...AWESOME!! Here is Jess and I on the o-barn...
We had the privilage of experiencing the backside of Adelaide...Port Adelaide...this was supposed to be a Dolphin tour...we saw one...luckily...but I don't know if it was worth the Rotten Eggs smell we put up with the whole time...mmm...

Ball night is always good...well the getting dressed up bit...

We made friends with a Chaperone named Tony Lawry...he LOVED the tassie girls and would always put us together in his bus...haha good times...
The New Years Eve dress up dance is always good...this time the theme was A and C...so Elle dressed up as the 'Alphabet' and Sacha as an 'Amenities block'

Dale was 'Anthony' wiggle...Adam was a 'Chicken'...Fiona went as a 'Candy shop'
Because of the time difference in Adelaide we headed to the roof to celebrate tassie new years...here we all are minus Josh and Maz who were running late for the pic...

It was better than I expected and I met some cool people but once again it was just another chance to hang with the cool tassie peeps in a different setting:)

Christmas Capers...

I LOVE Christmas! Here are some of the Shots of what our Family gets up to on a typical Christmas day...
Firstly Jessica and I load all the pressies into the Jazz for the BIG trip to the Wheelers (About 5 houses away) It was just like one of those drama jokes we used to do where you'd mime getting in the car...do the engine noise... 2 seconds later do the break noise and exclaim "We're here" It was pretty funny... The Table is a BIG deal for our family Christmas...this year Simone's Ginger Bread house took pride of place as our centre piece...it was filled with Choccies...yum...
The Bowl of Chrissy Lollies is a must as well as the cool Christmas Table Cloth...pity we forgot the dawky Christmas hats this year AND the Bon Bons!!

Jayme got guitar hero for Christmas and Generation Z (Oliver) Showed him some tricks...

I was so excited cause I helped mum choose the Christmas lollies this year and I opted for Sour Squirms...Jess will LOVE me for posting this pic!!

Someone got a cool 3D game where you look through the glasses to play...
Of course eating time is the best time!

It's always first in best dressed for the Baked Spuds...
Jonty's first Christmas...check out his cool suit...he was quite happy to Chill while we ate...
Mmm and then comes Dessert! Then comes Present time...Lisa was very excited to FINALLY get a foot spa...

This next pic is a bit blurry...but look closely and you'll see Jayme just failed a song on guitar hero...Simon Stole Rohans Lego Plane that Chris put together and Chris is going in for Rohans second lego build...Mum looks like she's telling someone off ...and Oliver...yes well...i'm sure you'll find more presents if you get IN the Sack

Christmas no. 2...
So Christmas afternoon I headed off to Burnie with Simone and family to celebrate another Christmas with Kay and Dion...
On the way we were supposed to call into Devo to wave off Fiona, Tania and Bianca...but we missed the depature time (NOT cause we were late but cause the boat left 20min early)
Hence the random pic of an empty dock...

Luckily as we came over the hill towards Ulverstone I spotted the boat...see that little speck off in the Horizon...yep that's them...BYE GUYS!!

We got to test out the Seven Seats in Simone and Simons new Territory...

Boxing day lunch...

Boxing day is also Sarra's Birthday...the big EIGHT!
Kay made her a Cool Castle Cake and of course the Candle blowing bandit wasn't too far away...

The day wasn't over yet though...After spending the afternoon in Burnie it was time to pack up and head to Hobart!
